The second-hand uniform shop is located on site above SCAMPS in the stable block. We reside at the back of the roof space behind the main school uniform shop. We are currently open on Friday mornings between 8.30-9.30am when the main uniform shop is also open. Thursday morning openings should be in place by the Autumn term. The shop can take cash or card payments onsite.
The environmental and economic impact of the second-hand uniform shop is important to the St. Christopher’s Association (SCA). While reducing waste and increasing affordability, we follow the main school uniform shop’s ethos and aim to deliver a “best value for parents” service and our stock provides good quality second-hand items to you at a fraction of the original cost.
We run entirely on a voluntary basis. Parents donate unwanted school uniform items, and all the sales’ proceeds go directly to the SCA. We also take non-uniform items such as dance shoes, football boots, Judo suit and cricket whites. Donations can be dropped off to the office or directly to the SHU on Friday mornings between 8.30-9.30am.
In line with the charitable notion of the SCA, any un-saleable items are given to a school in Malawi that St Christopher’s has had a long-standing relationship with. When it is not possible to ship out to them, we donate to local charity shops where the clothes are sold for tonnage to support their charitable aims.
