St Christopher’s The Hall is an independent preparatory school for boys and girls aged 4 to 11 in Beckenham, where we are committed to the highest standards of teaching and learning. We want all of our pupils to fulfil their potential through a combination of challenge, support, fun, smiles, encouragement and praise.
My vision for education involves inclusive teaching so that every pupil can run his or her own best race and building a firm foundation for both the next stage in their education and the rest of their lives. Delivering on this promise means that we have to work hard to ensure that each and every pupil is happy and well supported on their journey with us. We want every child to blossom and grow, believe in themselves and feel that anything is possible.
I am extremely privileged to work with a talented, dedicated and caring staff team who work to ensure that every child’s needs are met socially, emotionally, physically, creatively and academically, whilst developing their own personal strengths. This is a school which builds confidence, empowers our pupils to differentiate between right and wrong – and helps them show the strength and courage to become respectful citizens in a diverse society: in essence, to become good people.
I know our school community’s strength and resolve lies in its diversity. Our curriculum ensures our pupils celebrate their differences as well as their similarities, and, in turn, embrace, honour, celebrate and fearlessly be themselves. This ensures they become better collaborators, braver explorers, stronger communicators, and more courageous global citizens.
We believe education is a partnership between home and school and we want to build a long and rewarding relationship with you, in order that your son or daughter may achieve their best and be happy.
We hope that our website gives you a taste of life within our school and helps you discover more about us, the achievements of our children, and the exciting opportunities we provide.
