Echo Clubs – Lego

Posted: 27th January 2023

This term, we have been focusing on the Character Values: Teamwork, Creativity and Adaptability. In our opening week, the children were asked
to construct the tallest, free standing tower that could withstand wind. The tallest structure belonged to Giles and William (Year 6) standing at an impressive 90cm. All the other teams successfully completed the brief and were proud of their achievements.

Despite many challenges (including our tower tragically snapping in half), we persevered – ignoring the cacophony erupting from our competitor’s mouths – William and I were undeniably proud
of what we achieved.” (
Giles Year 6)

My favourite part was when the teachers blew our tower; fortunately, it did not fall. I felt really proud of myself because I had to adapt and overcome challenges throughout the build.”
