The girls have had another successful and enjoyable term.

Year 3 ‘A’ team have made an excellent start winning all three of their matches decisively (Royal Russell, Blackheath Prep and Farringtons)

Year 4 ‘A’ have had no losses and wins against Farringtons, Royal Russell, Streatham High, and Alleyn’s. A rather disappointing tournament, when luck was not on St. Christopher’s side, left us fifth out of ten teams.

Pride of place goes to our Year 5 teams. The ‘A’ team ended runners up in our own tournament where a single goal separated them from the winners - Alleyn’s. In the St. Dunstan’s Tournament the ‘A’ team finished as losing semifinalists whilst the ‘B’ team ended up silver medalists. A draw with Alleyn’s, wins against St. Dunstan’s, Farringtons, Streatham and Clapham High, Royal Russell and a single loss against Bromley High completed their season.

Year 6 have been the least successful but they have recorded some good wins and finished fifth out of nine schools in the Alleyn’s Tournament. The girls can all leave St. Christopher’s confident in the knowledge that their skills are sound and their knowledge of the game shows a maturity way beyond their years.

Well done to all of the girls who looked extremely smart in their house tee-shirts and to Johnson House who were the overall winners.

Year 6 and the Police! Print E-mail

A speaker from Transport for London and two officers from the Metropolitan Police visited Year Six to lead a very enjoyable and informative session on ‘Safety and Responsibility on Public Transport’. This included aspects such as route planning and safety when travelling on trams, buses and tube – and both the freedom and responsibilities involved in owning an Oyster card!

The presentation comprised role-play scenarios, videos and extensive discussion and formed part of a series of talks and activities designed to prepare the children for transition to secondary school.
