What a fantastic couple of weeks we have had at rugby throughout the Prep School. First congratulations to the U10 team who won the Eltham Tournament including victories against Merton Court (20-0), Harenc (10-0), and the hosts Eltham (10-5). This was followed up by a comprehensive 20-5 victory over D.C.P.S. Highlights included three tries from James Eccles and ferocious tackling from Jack Cernoch.

At U9 level and with a small, 'all-hands-to-the-pump' squad of players, the boys met a larger and well-drilled Colfes team at Beckenham R.F.C. Inspired by a hugely supportive crowd, each member of the team rolled up their respective sleeves and met the challenge head on with 'huge' first up tackles and slick passing behind the scrum. James McGruer must be singled out not only for scoring four tries in a memorable 20-5 victory but also for superb tackling. He was ably supported in the contact area by the Davis brothers, Herb Macpherson and Frankie 'force-you-into-touch' Talbot. A fantastic result!

Finally at U11 well done to the team for victiories over Eltham (40-0), Merton Court (10-5) and an inspirational win over D.C.P.S away from home (12-5) - including two tries for Marley 'catch-me-if-you-can' Thomas. All looks good with the oval ball at the moment. Well done to all of the teams and good luck for the rest of the season.
