Swimming Gala - Letter from Mr Myatt Print E-mail

8th June 2018

Dear Parents

On Thursday 21st June we will be holding our annual House Swimming Gala. To enable this event to run smoothly and promptly, we will be asking all children from Yr. 2 – Yr. 6 to meet teachers at the Beckenham Spa Swimming Baths at 8.30 am. Children should wear their house t.shirts.

The Gala will, as in previous years, have 2 phases. Phase 1 will start at 9.15 am and will include races for Yrs. 2, 3 & 4.

Phase 2 will start at about 11.00 am and will include races for Yrs. 5 & 6. Year 5 will need to make sure they bring their long sleeved and long legged pyjamas (no onesies) with them for their hotly anticipated pyjama race.

The children will also need to bring with them two towels and a bottle of water for the poolside (no lucozade etc.)

Yours sincerely

International Day Print E-mail

A selection of photographs from International Day, which was the idea of the School Council, under the direction of Cowboy Clint Iles, who writes...........

June 8th 2018 will live long in the memory as the first ever International Day at St.Christopher's. Children came to school in a tremendous array of costumes representing countries they had been thinking about. In assembly Cowboy Clint Iles encouraged everyone to think about where their passport had already taken them to and where they might go in the future. Hawaii via Japan, Mexico to the Czech Republic after visiting the USA and countries closer to home, Hopefully these photographs will keep the memories alive! Thank you to everyone for going to so much trouble and the Kitchen staff for providing a delicious meal!

Letter from Mr Myatt re Sports Day Print E-mail

8th June 2018

Dear Parents

Prep School sports day this year will again be held at Old Dunstonians Sports Ground, Wickham Way, Beckenham (off Hawksbrook Lane), on Friday 29th June.

Parents are requested to drop off children directly at the O.D. ground between 08.30 am and 08.45 am. Kit required includes House T shirt, Boys green shorts & P.E. socks for boys and House T shirt, Skort and P.E. socks for girls. Please also send a bottle of water.

Please note that entry and road width to the ground is restricted. Therefore ‘park and walk’ is recommended where possible. For those who prefer to park/drop off at the O.D. clubhouse, kindly enter via Hawksbrook Lane and exit (where applicable) via St. Dunstan’s Lane onto Wickham Way. This will avoid a road block with cars travelling in opposite directions. Please note that Langley Park children may be walking to school at this time. Following Sports Day, children will be taken back to school by staff.

I hope you are all able to join us on this occasion and that you enjoy the Prep School Sports Day.

Yours sincerely

Head of P.E.

'Bowled' Over Print E-mail

 Bowles 2.jpg

Year Five children have just returned after their successful 3 day visit to Bowles. Many personal challenges were achieved and children worked very well in their groups. The staff at Bowles were impressed by 5I and 5W's positive attitude and organisation. Many children would have liked to stay longer, especially as the weather improved towards the end.

Mr Iles
